This disc starts off great with a clean, melodic guitar intro before proceeding to pummel everything in it's path from there on. Neo-hardcore is the label I would put on the music. The vocals are just the average "scream 'til I'm hoarse" crap that is the main reason I do not listen to much hardcore. The band's image is that of a bunch of high school nerds. Chances are, by the
look of 'em, that these guys were still in high school when this disc came out. Despite my dislike for the vocalist, the music is very aggressive and the band writes some decent riffs, so I can sometimes ignore the screaming. Killer cover art inside and out. Cool lyrics to boot. File this one with Overcome, Unashamed, Strongarm, and all the other cookie cutter Tooth & Nail
bands who have the exact same sound and image. Focal Point have released a few more discs after this one, but I think I will pass. One Focal Point disc in my collection is enough!
