The Madness Begins Powermad-The Madness Begins... (cdr) 1988

1. "Terminator" (4:20)
2. "Hunter Seeker" (2:52)
3. "Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment" (1:45)
4. "Blind Leading the Blind" (4:23)

The band's first EP, which apparently was never released on CD except as a promo and unfortunately sells for well above what it's worth. This EP along with TT Quick's first EP and Reverend's first EP are all so freaking rare, that they all sell for well above $50 in auctions, if you can find them at all. OUCH! Anyhow, thanks to the kindness of fellow cd collector Ralph
Walter, I am now in possession of this well recorded CDR. I also own a vinyl version of this disc, so I created some cover art from the original album art. Maybe someday someone will re-release both Powermad albums on one cd. Now that would be nice. "Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment" was originally written and recorded by the Ramones.

Powermad- Absolute Power (Reprise) 1989

1."Slaughterhouse" (5:21)
2."Absolute Power" (4:28)
3."Nice Dreams" (4:11)
4."Return from Fear" (2:56)
5."Test the Steel (Powermad)" (3:20)
6."Plastic Town" (4:58)
7."B.N.R." (5:17)
8."Failsafe" (3:14)
9."Brainstorms" (3:32)
10."Final Frontier" (5:30)

Very tight thrash band, with great vocals that range fromthe mid range thrash yell to some high pitched power metal screams. Favorite cuts are "Slaughterhouse" and "Absolute Power." What the heck happened to these guys after this disc? They had created such a buzz at the time, then disappeared into obscurity. Anyhow, this disc is out of print and sells for around $20 if you can find a copy. I was lucky enough to get a hold of two, one that I kept, the other that I traded to a friend for a copy of Realm "Endless War."
