UNION
Union formed in 1996 and should not be confused with the early 1980s band Union. This Union is a Los Angeles-based outfit that recorded for Mayhem in the late 1990s and boasts ex-Motley Crue vocalist John Corabi and former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick with bassist Jamie Hunting and drummer Brent Fitz. They released a live album in 2000 as well. Bruce also released an album of demo tracks by Eric Carr, that he plays lead guitar on.

Union (Mayhem)

1. "Old Man Wise" (4:18)
2. "Around Again" (6:11)
3. "Pain Behind You Eyes" (4:33)
4. "Love (I Donít Need It Anymore)" (3:45)
5. "Heavy D" (5:42)
6. "Let It Flow" (6:09)
7. "Empty Soul" (4:50)
8. "October Morning Wind" (4:10)
9. "Get Off My Cloud" (4:09)
10. "Tangerine" (4:45)
11. "Robin's Song" (4:28)

My interest in this band was purely in the fact that Bruce Kulick (ex-Kiss) was the lead guitarist and songwriter. Unfortunately, the music on this disc has been infected with the dreaded 1990's grunge disease. Union's main focus is melodic alternative rock. Boring! Bruce is a talented guitarist, but this type of music doesn't give him the opportunity to shine, as it is "uncool" in the late 90's to actually be talented. The cover art is cool as it has a foil embossed logo, but unfortunately it doesn't scan well. Picked this up for $3.99 used.

Union-The Blue Room (Spitfire)

1.   "Do Your Own Thing" (4:32)
2.   "Dead" (3:35)
3.   "Everything's Alright" (5:17)
4.   "Shine" (5:35)
5.   "Who Do You Think You Are" (4:40)
6.   "Dear Friend" (5:22)
7.   "Do You Know My Name" (4:58)
8.   "Hypnotized" (4:48)
9.   "I Wanna Be" (5:20)
10. "No More" (4:37)

More of the same. Boring! This one was given to me. Bruce, if you ever read this, please write some hooks. Screw the grungy, so-called modern, alternative crap!
