Focused were one of the first Tooth & Nail hardcore bands,
before they started churning out tons of sound alikes.

4. "The Ballad of the Tinuviel" (4:24)
5. "The Crying King" (5:01)
6. "Time" (4:30)
7. "(Tell Me) Who Do You Think You Are?" (4:36)
8. "The Quest for Eternity" (5:15)
9. "The Other Side" (6:22)
10. "Visions from the Ancient Time" (6:48)
I would tend to describe this band's music a progressive metal, but this description inevitably brings up thoughts of Fates Warning or Dream Theater, neither of which accurately describes Fierce Conviction, although there are small influences of both bands in this album. I think a closer description would be the last two Psychotic Waltz platters as the band mixes some very heavy guitar grooves and riffs with fast tempo changes, sweeping acoustic passages, some spacey song writing, and killer clean vocals.
