I'd be willing to bet, due to the year of release and the band's look, that Tangier were lumped into the 'hair band' category. That is unfortunate for them because, not unlike Slaughter, their music has little to do with the Poisons of the 80's. Tangier play quality, melodic, bluesy hard rock. I checked a few sources to read some reviews on this disc, and all of them say the same thing; basically that they are not as good as other bands that are on the scene at the time. Hmmm, not sure what they were comparing them to, but without the comparisons, the music is actually quite good, albeit short on attitude. Perhaps this is what they meant when comparing the band. As far as I know this disc is out of print. (Thanks again James.)
