The band has now developed a sort of cult following. (ha! now that's a pun.) Anyhow, in May 2001 a two day Stryper Expo was held in California. (For info for go to www.StryperExpo.com) Stryper performed as well as Sin Dizzy, Micheal Sweet, and several other Christian metal bands including Oil, Ultimatum, Joshua, and more. I was there and it was a blast.

Stryper 1986

A rare 1986 promotional photo that appeared in FACES Magazine of Stryper to promote "To Hell With the Devil'.
For a short time Timothy Gaines had left the band and was replaced by Matt Hurich (third from left.) After Tim returned the band went back and reshot all their photos for the album. Tim wore Matt's yellow and black racing jumpsuit which was to short for him.
